The Basic Tutorials - OMF 5.3¶

These sets of tutorials provide the basics to get you started with OMF. If you are a new OMF users, we highly recommend that you read through them.

Make sure that you know how to access an OMF testbeds (see the Getting Started page).

You may also want to read the short OMF System Overview and/or the Experiment Life-cycle Overview.

Quick and Incremental Learning¶

Here you will create run an extremely simple OMF experiment, then we will incrementally present further OMF features.

How To...

• "Hello World" wireless - the base experiment, i.e. one sender, one receiver, already installed applications

• "Hello World" wired - the base experiment, i.e. one sender, one receiver, already installed applications

• Pass parameters to your experiment, and change them at run-time

• Configure or address all resources within a defined group, and use simple substitutions

• Use your own or a 3rd party application with OMF

• Use Filters to customise your Measurement Collection

• Use a Prototype to specify further a particular Application

• Load a saved disk image on one of your experimental resource

• Save the disk image of one of your experimental resource
